Solid State Recording artists, Silent Planet have released a new video for “Depths II” this morning. Visually disorienting bordering on the supernatural, “Depths II” has a very personal meaning for Silent Planet vocalist, Garrett Russell.

Of the song Russell said “this song is the finale to our recent album The Night God Slept. It was written after I was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. The album is composed of narratives of women protagonists throughout history. After my diagnosis, I had this sort of epiphany that paralleled the journey of the characters with my own. It’s my own personal struggle of finding peace within myself and coming to terms with evil and the existence of God.”

It addition to the release of the video today, November 10th, 2015 marks the one year anniversary of the release of The Night God Slept. The band’s debut full-length release, it has resonated strongly with listeners across the globe.

It has also drawn high praise from numerous media outlets. Among those outlets is as New Noise Magazine who said "If you’re looking for the next big thing in metalcore, look no further than Silent Planet.” Under The Gun Review echoed the sentiment saying ““I think it’s safe to say that this is going to be one of the best metalcore albums this year.” Positive ink also came from outlets including Alternative Press, Revolver, Metal Hammer and HM Magazine.

The band has just completed a 31 date national tour with For Today and Fit For A King.
